My Product de Jour
So you know I must have absolutely NOTHING to talk about if my azz is talking about how "great" a dayum cleaning product is? *shakin head* But for some reason I just can't help it. Why? Cuz this product is like, the bomb. And here is why. . . .
I have these pots that I just HAD to have since like forever and ever and ever. The main reason I had to have them is because them suckers seemingly last a lifetime. My parents have 2 colors in the complete set and I SWEAR they been cooking on them things since the 1970's (and they still using them today). Back then the pots only came in one color, a bright fiery orangish color. Today they have about any color you want. So my Hunny finally got some of my pots, in a red fire color that sorta goes with the theme of my kitchen. Now I don't have the WHOLE collection cuz we ain't rockefeller so we gotta buy them in small sets of 3 to 5. And let's face it, my azz has already killed dayum near an entire set of some wal-mart pots bought for us and a few additions of some target pots, raley's pots, and well I could go on and on. I'm a pot killer so I need some pots that can weather my storm. LOL
Anyway, I've only used the 5.5 quart pot like maybe 4 good times when I noticed stains. What do I mean? Like painted on food stains that did not come out with my scrubbing, soaking, scrubbing, using baking powder, more soaking and more scrubbing. So I was sorta bummed that I ain't even used the dayum thing good yet and it's already stained. I don't recall my parents pots being all super stained and they've had those pots since they've had me. So I was like dayum, what am I gonna do cuz I didn't want to use "killer cleansers" and really mess up the inside of the pot. Soooo I just resigned myself to be extra careful when cooking and to be sure to wash any of my "good" pots immediately and do not, DO NOT put into the dishwasher.
Well in walks my My Hunny with my Product de Jour. He picked it up because I was already overspraying the house with the lemon verbena room freshener (that I LOVE). So this product says you can use it to clean pots and that it's gentle, etc. So I figure let me try it on my "good" pot. Since it's a non-harsh product I figured it had to soak overnight, and so on and so forth cuz that's how most of those natural cleaners work. Well honey, let me tell you, I sprinkled a little bit on the stained areas of my pot. That's a lie I scattered that sh*t over the whole pot. LOL. Sprayed some of my usual everyday cleaner spray and continued to load the dishwasher. So after about 5 minutes or maybe less I decided to gently scrub the pot with my dish sponge/scour pad. Why did those food stains just lift as tho they'd NEVER been there? At first I thought I was trippin, cuz *snappin fingers* those stains were GONE. I couldn't believe it. So then I sprinkled some over this spot in the sink, scrubbed, GONE. I must admit, now I'm hooked. Of course I HAVE to get ALL her products now. I'm so easy. Who knew that cleanser came in the scent of lavender and a pretty colored can.
So ya know I'm happy right? Yeah I'm a simple girl and sometimes a lil lavender in a pretty can is just the trick to brighten my day. Altho I am mad cuz the dayum wholefoods charges a dayum dollar more than the website. Okay so now I'm an official Mrs. Meyer's fan. And yes I'm buying the "holiday" gingerbread collection. Who knew cleaning could be such fun. Ha!
